How should the crane chain be maintained?
The stainless steel lifting chain can adjust the length of the chain according to the lifting height of the lifting object. It is an essential and important lifting device for the crane, and plays an important role in improving the operating efficiency of the crane and expanding the operating range of the crane. So how should the crane chain be maintained?
The sprocket should be installed on the shaft without deflection and swing. In the same transmission assembly, the end faces of two sprockets should be located in the same plane. When the intermediate distance of the sprockets is less than 0.5m, the allowable deviation is 1mm. When the intermediate distance of the sprockets is more than 0.5m, the allowable deviation is 2mm. However, it is not allowed to have friction on the side of the sprocket teeth, as excessive shifting of the two wheels can easily lead to chain detachment and accelerated wear. Pay attention to checking and adjusting the offset when replacing the sprocket.
2. The tightness of the lifting chain should be appropriate. If it is too tight, it will increase power consumption, and the bearing is prone to wear. If it is too loose, the chain will easily jump and fall off. The tightness of the chain is: lift or press down from the middle of the chain, with a spacing of about 2% to 3% between the two sprockets.
"The new lifting chain is too long or stretched after use, making it difficult to adjust. The chain links can be removed depending on the situation, but they should be an even number.". The chain link should pass through the back of the chain, the locking tab inserted outside, and the opening of the locking tab should face the opposite direction of rotation.
After the sprocket is severely worn, both the sprocket and the chain should be replaced to ensure good engagement. You cannot replace a new chain or sprocket alone. Otherwise, poor engagement may result in accelerated wear of new chains or sprockets. After the tooth surface of the sprocket is worn to a certain extent, it should be promptly turned over for use (referring to the sprocket used with an adjustable surface). To extend usage time.
5. The old lifting chain cannot be mixed with some new chains, otherwise it may easily cause impact in the transmission and break the chain.
6. Remember to timely add lubricating oil to the lifting chain during operation. The lubricating oil must enter the fitting clearance between the roller and the inner sleeve to improve working conditions and reduce wear.
